PARINS has been asked by Stoke Minority Ethnic Housing Strategy Group to undertake consultation with tenants living in the city about racial harassment.

The City Council Housing department and most of the local Housing Associations have joined in this project and PARINS is conducting the consultation on their behalf.

The purpose of this research is to ensure:
  • That services are improved
  • That tenants are safe from racial harassment
  • That landlords respond well to incidents of racial harassment when they do occur

We are asking tenants about their experience of racial harassment and of how their landlords have handled this.

If you are willing to take part in this project then we would be grateful if you would email your contact details to us below.

We will then get in touch with you to arrange a time when one of our researchers can come and talk with you. We expect the interview to be only 30 minutes. If you would prefer, the interview can be done on the telephone.

We guarantee that your involvement in this project and the responses you give us will be completely confidential.

We will also be getting some groups together where people can discuss the issues more widely that in an individual interview – so when we contact you we will ask you if you would like to join one of those too.

The aim of the consultation is to make life safer for you and for all other minority ethnic tenants living in Housing Association and council housing in Stoke on Trent. We would be very grateful if you could spare us the time to talk us through your experience and ideas.

If you would like to know more about PARINS please take a look at other pages on the web-site – and if you would like to know more about other consultation work we have done, you can do so by clicking on PARINS Consultation.
